Emmanuel — or Ima —is one of the youngest boys at Olevolos. He's loved by the older kids, and is also a great dancer. Here, Ima is writing a letter back to an Olevolos supporter in the US as part of Olevolos' pen-pal exchange.
Olevolos covers the costs of all educational materials, including books, to enable students to enroll with the resources they need to fully embrace their success.
Between 2009 and 2012, Olevolos had a nursery school in the Olevolos Village serving orphaned and disadvantaged kids. The photo captures morning singing activities prior to the start of class.
In the summer of 2013, Gannes designed a summer camp for Olevolos students that included new activities. This photo was taken in Lake Manyara, where many Olevolos kids attended their first safari.
Another summper camp activity was camel riding. Students climbed onto the camel while it was on the ground. This image captures the kids' expression when the camel was fully standing.
