A project of American Anthropological Association
Initiated by the American Anthropological Association and developed in partnership with the Science Museum of Minnesota, Race: Are we so different? explores the impact of race as a economic, political, and cultural construct and dispels the myth of race as a biologically determined phenomenon.
The exhibit looks at the science of human variation and examines the history and lived experience of race in the United States. The traveling exhibition seeks to promote a national dialogue about race by providing numerous entry points to discussion.
Three versions of the exhibit are currently touring the country; the condensed version is coming to Ann Arbor. See the tour schedule here.
