The University of Michigan faculty is integral to the Understanding Race Theme Semester, through service on the Understanding Race Steering Committee, the creation of new courses and connection of existing courses to the theme, and by organizing and presenting at myriad events.

The University of Michigan has an extraordinary breadth of faculty expertise on understanding race. To document this, the Understanding Race Project is developing an inventory of related U-M research.

Several teaching resources are available, and faculty and instructors are encouraged to visit the Race: Are we so different? exhibit with their classes.
