Description
Begtse Chen. Begtse Chen is an enlightened protector deity. He takes the fearsome appearance of a red tsen demon, with three round eyes, an open mouth with fierce fangs, and wild upward flowing hair. He wears a coat of protective armor and is adorned with a crown of five skulls and elaborate ornaments. He holds a sword in his right hand and a human heart in his left, with a blade in the bend of his left elbow. His booted right foot rests on a prone horse, while his left foot rests on a human head. On the left, his son, dressed as a warrior, rides a wolf. His consort is to his right. Begtse stands surrounded by the flames of eternal awareness. 19th century.
